Tell Your Story
Terrell is a 2008 graduate of Enloe High School. He has entered Wake Technical Community College. Terrell has been pushing the odds all his life. He lost his mother when he was just nine years old, but a loving, devoted grandmother stepped in to raise him and his younger brother. He credits her rock solid belief in his ability to succeed for giving him the self-confidence that keeps him focused today.
Terrell’s grandmother was a firm believer in God and kept her grandson’s in church. His grandmother passed away when Terrell was only fifteen, but loving family members and other mentors continued to assist him.

Terrell’s goal is to complete his first two years of college at
Wake Tech and then transfer to East Carolina University
to complete a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. Terrell
wants to become a therapist and establish his own practice.
Terrell Perry
Cozzi is a 2008 graduate of Southeast Raleigh High School. Despite having mild autism, he graduated with a College-University Prep diploma. He is currently a sophomore at North Carolina Central University, majoring in Mass Communications with a minor in History. Having been on a block schedule in high school made him accustomed to completing a course in one semester; however, as a college student, he has learned the importance of managing his time, taking responsibility for handling his affairs, and living on a budget. He finds that one difference between college and high school is that professors do not pursue students. It is left up to the student to be assertive and communicate with their professors. Also most of the time, students are penalized for turning work in late or the work is not accepted at all. Cozzi has a 2.66 GPA. He made the dean’s list last spring and during summer school. Cozzi enjoys sports, video games, traveling, history and Bible study. He is a member of the Student Activities Board and he participates with a Bible Study group on campus. This year is the centennial celebration of NCCU’s founding. Being a history buff, he looks forward to attending the many festivities in commemoration of this historic event. He looks forward to sharing in some of these events with his parents, both of whom are alumni of NCCU.
Terrell had been taught to recognize the value of education. All through high school he demonstrated seriousness about succeeding. He always pushed for A’s in class, focusing on the goal to succeed. He knows firsthand that hard work pays off.
